Our work lies in the belief that communities can themselves identify what their needs are and that extensive research aid them in making more informed decisions to cater to their needs. Through a collaborative effort of scholars, policy practitioners, and technical experts with in and beyond the academy we aim to aid all such communities. Together we fight for fundamental rights of all individual to a healthy and fulfilling life, access to quality education, and dignified work opportunities. We believe that these rights are essential for building strong communities and creating a more equitable and just world.

The Direction of our Action and Research projects is informed and approved by an Advisory Board consisting of leading area experts and professionals. The Board is set to expand further in the coming year.

Kamran Asdar Ali
Professor at the University of Texas, Austin, specializing in Anthropology, Middle East & Asian Studies. His illustrious career includes serving as President of the American Association of Pakistan Studies & Dean at LUMS. Ali is currently also the Vice-President of Association of Asian Studies.

Farhat Haq
Currently a visiting professor of Political Science at LUMS, Lahore, Dr. Haq has previously held leadership roles at Monmouth College, Illinois (USA), and as a President of the American Association of Pakistan Studies.

Kaiser Bengali
With over 40 years of experience, Bengali is an economist renowned for teaching, research, and policy advice. Bengali has held various government roles, including heading the Policy Reform Unit for the Balochistan Government & Advising the Sindh CM. He was also the first head of the Benazir Income Support Program.

Asad Jamal
One of Pakistan’s eminent human rights lawyers, Jamal has accrued over a decade of experience championing complex and challenging cases in areas of blasphemy, free speech, and capital punishment. Jamal has served as the Dean of Lahore School of Law.
